I have no idea, but I am really amused. My son did futsal ID last year, and they had to scrimmage an ID team the year up each week. He constantly complained about "having to defend against some giant kid with a mustache."
Lots of 06s with big mustaches.

Some races are known for having early puberty. It's documented. Girls as early as 8-9 and boys late elementary school. So that comes into play too.

I have no idea if that is the case, but even assuming for the sake of argument that it were, would not explain the situation, because the kids at issue span racial groups (e.g some white, some Hispanic, some mixed white and black).

Yes, and for Futsal ID they check the birth date at some point on birth certificate or similar. They are just big kids for their age.

And lets not forget that these are just club run "leagues" in the loosest sense. These are far from official US Club or USYS sanctioned leagues.

Sorry, how does that play into this particular issue?

How did we go from someone bitching about kids using tennis courts for soccer to kids who have mustaches have peaked athletically?

It relates in that it is probably of to relax and just play against who is on the other side of the court without worrying about the age or the win.

I don't think anyone is worried about anything except their kid potentially getting hurt.

My older son was a later bloomer and saw this. And I did know some of these mustache MS since very early childhood so know their true age.

My son hit his first big growth spurt right before 15 and he is definitely on the later side in this sport from watching countless games, tournaments, indoor/outdoor, etc.

The good news is--by HS it becomes less relevant. He's a Freshmen now ('05, U16 late fall bday) and will play with the 2005s as well as the 2002/2003s. He still hasn't finished his growth spurt (not even close) and he hasn't filled out (you can see the teens that are almost done growing--they start getting thicker all over and no longer string beans for the most part), but now you don't really notice the disparity as glaringly as U12-U15. There is such a HUGE size variation for boys from 12 to 17. My kid was on the middle-to small size and now is one of the taller ones and still growing...and this only happened in the past 6 months. And, the kids that didn't grow tall due to genetics--at least filled out with testosterone so stockier and less likely to go down.

oh and some of the top teams in his age group all have mustaches and you can see they are maxed out on height already. they peeked. it makes it interesting for the final 3 years of HS. tables turn a lot in these years.

Tried to play tennis yesterday, but the stupid futsal goals have were left on the court. I think today I’ll just throw them in a dumpster with all they other trash the futsal players leave.

Can you clarify what "other trash" you are referring to, as the kids are not permitted to eat or drink on the courts, and parents are not allowed onto the courts? I haven't seen any players wearing disposable masks, only cloth.

Sir I believe it would be illegal to put in a dumpster. You will have to call for a special pick-up.

I will help you out just leave $50 in an envelope at the tennis court and I will come pick it up.

OP, are you the same person who posted on nextdoor about this? If so, people already explained to you that futsal is not soccer, is played on a hard surface, and that Alexandria Soccer has permits/permission. Either let it go or lobby the city.
