Vaccines.

What? Kids won't be vaccinated until God knows when and teachers/staff may be, but the majority of adults in kids' homes and those with whom they wil have contact with in the community won't be vaccinated until at least the summer, maybe early fall. Again, more contagious and higher spread variants.

That is good news for the kids as they remain the most at risk once we return.

I am at a loss for adjectives to describe what LCPS plans to do to ditch metrics.

Like, literally nobody cringes seeing how they said August was dangerous and unsafe but now, with the worst it’s been since we closed a year ago to flatten the curve miraculously science doesn’t matter.

Interesting. So let's organize. Let's take it in shifts to go get tested en masse over the next 14 days, to lower the average % positive rate below 10%. C'mon! If Reddit can do it, so can we!

Y’all are so damn dramatic. They’re voting Tuesday and sending your kids in within 2-4 weeks. Chill TF out.

We're being dramatic? You are the ones screaming about "death camps."

Ummm no. I’m the half vaccinated teacher going in to teach your kids on 3/3. So you can, again, chill.

You'll be fully vaccinated by then. And yes, your sort have been screaming about "death camps."

And I will CHILL when LCPS announces in no uncertain terms that school will be on time and 5 days come August. Until then, I will most definitely not "chill."

Lmfao chill tf out ho!!!!

This is either a teenage student mascaraing as a teacher, or someone slipped through the cracks in the hiring department. I don't know any mature adult who uses that defamatory word with another female, angry or not.

What would you do if they told you it’s a teacher and coach?

There’s no way it doesn’t happen. They’re already pulling the buses off lunch delivery to prepare for 2/16 transportation needs. Worst case is all kids go 3/3. Really. We are all very certain this time it’s actually happening.

I hope you are right. But its still on 2 days. 11.5 months after the last day they went to school.

Another way to organize: contact Richmond in support of the bills requiring every VA school district to open for in-person learning:
