if you really really want to be a parent there are ways. If you just want to be pregnant, well that's something else.

Fellow teacher here. Why is teaching the perfect profession? I’m struggling with this and would love feedback.

I wanted a child in the worst way. Was 35, no boyfriend, and heard the biological clock ticking. I love children, my profession is with young children, etc.

And then my sister got pregnant and had placenta previa and could NOT get out of bed for last 5 months. Husband cooked, brought her food, cleaned the house (or his job paid for the cleaner), cleaned the cat litter boxes, fed the cats, did the shopping, etc. And I realized that I wouldn't have ANYONE who could do that if I had any complications.

(Her's was really bad - she was allowed to leave bed to go to living room in the morning, then go back to bed at bedtime, and to walk to bathroom as needed - but no going outside, no standing and cooking, no nothing.)

Of course many pregnancies are easy peasy but what if it wasn't? WHAT was I going to do? and I was in early childhood education so my salary was not enough to get things delivered, hire a cleaner, etc. So I decided not to do it. But everyone has different points of view.

Not my kiddo. He is 15 going on 30. Very responsible. Depends on how you raise them. His friends come over to help when I need to move furniture. One of them taught me how to change a flat tire. Love them all.

Yes. Many on here will tell you that it's fine but you and only you, will have responsibility. You cannot expect your 15yr. Old to help you. It isn't his responsibility
