I think many cerebral guys tend to fall for very sensual women and lose all good judgement.
Also, I read somewhere that Bezos has some issues with his Latino identity (was it a mom who left the family early on? Was he adopted? I don’t remember) but maybe there are also mommy issues at play.
As for her, money is of course the key factor but maybe she is somewhat attracted by his intelligence?
