Especially now that she has Jack, you would think that she would want to lose weight. I did like that Toby mentioned wanting to be there for Jack and not have another heart attack.
Yet no one in Kate's family feels they can say anything to her. Toby needs to man up and tell her to call Becks to watch the kid and he and Kate will go work out.
After tonight’s episode, it seems like “Becks” is in no condition to watch the child. This storyline is going to hit a little too close to home, I’m afraid.
On the other hand, I’m so happy to see that Michael Angarano is returning next week as young Nicky. Squee!

Beth is so funny. Great comedic timing.
I knew Kevin and Cassidy weren’t going to be a thing - no romantic chemistry. I’m glad that story line is over.
That storyline is definitely not over! Producers have hinted as such!

I thought it was the opposite-- that Chrissy said that Kate would consider a gastric bypass but she herself would never consider getting one.
Kate did consider a gastric bypass, right? But then Toby has the heart attack?

Agree. I really like both of these characters. Great acting! I also really liked the tension between the two families and the fact that both families are black, so no one can claim, “that’s so racist!” when one family doesn’t like/trust the other.

Definitely a low blow and I don't blame Beth for almost coming to blows with this woman.
Loved this episode and thought it was brilliant that Malik’s parents had just as many misgivings about Deja as Randall and Beth had about Malik. Both sets of parents judged each other and their kids without knowing them.
