Now, the whole damn country knows that “democrat = gun confiscation”, and there’s no walking this one back or pretending it didn’t happen. This isn’t a fart in the elevator. You can’t unring this bell. Everyone heard it.

Granted, most gun owners have always known this, but there are indeed millions of trusting, gullible gun owners that took dems at their word when they heard them say in the past “no one is going to take your guns away”. Now all those millions know for sure exactly what dems want.

So I offer my sincere thanks to Beta O’dork, for finally wrecking the democrat lie we’ve been hearing for almost 30 years.

Listen to the raucous cheers that were given in response to O'Rourke's comment. No one should be surprised that Democrats really feel that way despite their claims otherwise.

Expect campaign ads that include Beto's comment. Scare tactics like that work.

It keeps escalating. Personally, I would have been good with some common-sense gun control laws after Sandy Hook.

But then you sick f#%ks decided you wanted to keep your arsenals more than you wanted to protect first graders. Given your complete lack of morality - demonstrated after each massacre (how many bump stocks did you buy after Vegas?) - you can’t be trusted. Any gun owner who values gun control is responsible enough to own guns though.

I'm pretty sure more first graders are beaten to death by their parents or drown in swimming pools than wind up being gunned down in Sandy Hook style school shootings. "Sky is falling" narratives are somewhat ridiculous given that homicides have been declining for decades.

Yes, please try to rationalize how those kids were shredded to bits that day.

I am just explaining how my own rationale has changed over the years, going from gun-control to confiscation.

Changes will be made, but I DGAF about your input now. You had your chance.

Screech all you want. Call me names, it's just noise to me. I know you hate me, and I just don't care. I'm armed, and you aren't going to change that.

Buh bye.

A Republican lawmaker from Texas issued a barely veiled threat against Beto O'Rourke after the Democrat presidential hopeful said he would seize assault rifles behind many mass shootings in the country.

"My AR is ready for you, Robert Francis," Texas state legislator Briscoe Cain tweeted after O'Rourke's pledge in the Democratic presidential debate late Thursday, using O'Rourke's given name.

Asked in the debate if he is for confiscating assault weapons -- one of which was used to kill 22 people at a Walmart store in his home town of El Paso, Texas on August 3 -- O'Rourke replied:

"I am, if it's a weapon that was designed to kill people on the battlefield."

"When we see that being used against children... Hell yes, we're going to take your AR-15, your AK-47. We're not going to allow it to be used against our fellow Americans anymore."

After Cain's tweet, O'Rourke doubled down on his plan.

"This is a death threat, Representative. Clearly, you shouldn't own an AR-15?and neither should anyone else," he said on Twitter.

Well threatening to take private property and violate the bill of rights without due process is the definition of tyranny and is the very purpose the second amendment was meant to guard against.

Guns are regulateable. That's not tyranny. Sorry.

What is tyranny to one person is not to another, which is a reason we have things like laws and the constitution and don't govern by your feelings

You people are absolutely nuts

by the way:

that just shows you how irrational and drawn to sensationalism women are

You HAVE seen your president's twitter feed, haven't you, PP?

If a politician is able to get a rule adjustment that bans 100 round cartridges or automatic assault rifles, so that is the new law (not a repeal of the Second Amendment, just this particular weapon) - and a police officer shows up at your house, knowing you possess this weaponry illegally, if your response is that you are going to shoot the police officer, what does that make you?

So much for the "blue Lives Matter" tripe.

That police officer has a decision to make. He can decide to either A) not enforce what is obviously a blatantly unconstitutional, politically motivated law or order, or B) do the bidding of those cowards too afraid to disarm their hated opposition themselves, and accept the risks or rewards for being their stooge.

Life is about decisions. They’ll be making decisions and dealing with the consequences just like the rest of us will.

Some people have criticized O’Rourke for supposedly using the Spanish-sounding nickname to curry favor with Latino voters (no, he’s not Latino). However, Beto has used the nickname since childhood. His father gave it to him. There is a political dimension to the name, though, because his dad was a political figure in El Paso, Texas who thought the Spanish-sounding name would help his son in that community if he ever ran for office.

That’s not true, I’m from El Paso. We gave him his nickname. If you have an issue with it go talk to people who know Beto since childhood. We gave him his nickname. Beto, knows he’s not Hispanic. Like I said his Mexican American teachers, etc, gave him his nickname.

In his infancy, his family gave him the nickname "Beto", a common Spanish-Portuguese nickname for first names ending in "-berto", initially to distinguish him from his namesake grandfather.[20][21][22]

Unless you are his family, you are oddly lying. Why?
