It is not hypocritical for MM to try to help sex workers despite marrying someone who has an uncle that has perhaps participated in trafficking. Harry is not his uncle. What is incredibly hypocritical is how the british media treat MM vs PA. Look at the Daily Mail UK home right now. Front and center is coverage of MM and PH's summer holidays and use of private jet. No mention of how PW and KM also took summer vacations on private jets of course. OR how PA took a private jet to Spain last week to emotionally cope with the Epstein coverage. But the biggest splashiest headline is all about MM and PH taking a vacation.
Buried down far after the fold is the Epstein story and under THAT is a SUB HEADLINE about how PA was just led astray by the mean man everyone warned him against.
How would you and the british media be acting if MM had ties to a child sex trafficker?
That double standard is racism. The face that you are searching for MM's hypocrisy here instead of talking about how appalled you are that the british media has been DEAD SILENT on this PA association for the last week and is only now writing fluffy defense people means that MM is not the hypocrite, YOU are. And yes, I think a racist one to boot.
MM has donated her time to help sex workers. She has not been covering for Andrew for a decade. Good for her.

Why does everyone scream racism when they even remotely critique mm? Here’s a thought for you- Michelle Obama, an Ivy League educated attorney is classy. Meghan, an educated but thirsty actress is not. Using people then cutting them out of your life is not classy. Cutting out your clueless dad who you lauded praises on and gushed about is not classy. Writing on bananas to sex workers is not classy .
You name one black woman who you deem as classy and think that means you aren’t racist?! That’s the equivalent of someone who says, “I can’t be racist, I have black friends.”
Here is why ppl scream racism, bc KM is not better or classier than MM however ppl are fighting hard to prove that she is. Why?! Bc she looks similar to you and other posters. You relate more to her bc she’s white. MM is brown and while you don’t want to admit it, deep down you feel some way that she married a white prince. So you find anything you can to prove she is awful. That way you can justify your hatred. Bc you don’t know either of them but the side you take is of the white woman who is actually no different than the brown woman. In fact in comparison to charitable efforts and events KM has been deemed lazy but, so what, she dresses more dowdy and takes pictures of her children so she is down to earth.
Take it down a notch
Suggest you read some British fashion magazines, such as Hello, where Kate and Meghsn are considered the same. Two stylish somewhat young women who appear at events of interest in the UK. It is only “the Americans” who try to overanalyze and politicize their roles. Just let them be who the Brits want them to be and stop interfering in another country’s celebrities.
We have plenty of horrid celebrities in the States who need your attention and judgments.
Take what down a notch? An explanation you don’t agree with? Nonexistent tone that you cannot tell through a post? Sorry but you don’t get to tell me or anyone else what we should be doing when you are sitting here posting your opinion as well. Your thoughts are not more important than someone else’s and your effort in trying to sound condescending is obnoxious. Oh and learn to read bc I never said they weren’t the same, I said KM isn’t classier than MM. All the British magazines in the world can claim KM is stylish but anyone with eyes and actually style sees she dresses like a 65 year old woman in dowdy dresses.
New British poll by YouGov shows 64% of 9,000 Brits polled approve of the Duchess of Cambridge whilst 49% approve of the Duchess of Sussex.
Ha - the same YouGov poll that ranks Prince Harry as 1st or the 2nd most popular royal 5 years running?
Oh yes, that's right - higher than Prince DoLittle and his charming wife.
https://yougov.co.uk/ratings/politics/popularity/royalty/all
Meghan is now the 6TH MOST POPULAR ROYAL after only a year of marriage. She's higher than every single one of the Queen's children and she isn't even British yet and this proves that the tabloid hate is highly misplaced.
Duchess of Cambridge is now the 4TH MOST POPULAR ROYAL. Meghan is 2 pegs below here for obvious reasons

"People out here struggle to eat and sleep and she gifts us some words on a piece of fruit," said a woman who goes by the name Nikki to the British newspaper The Sun. “She has the means to help us more than that. It’s offensive, you know.”
I agree. I understand that the banana is probably a better fruit upon which to write, considering its peel. However, I doubt a sex worker wants to see - "You are strong." - on something that resembles a penis.
so yeah, classless
So one person disagrees? You can find one person to disagree with anything. Many people in fact. I said I thought it was a little ivory tower and I still do, but that is a far cry from an example of a classless person who deserves to be raked over the coals of the british press day after day after day.
Even PH and QEII have noticed this. Harry wrote a scathing letter to the press about their treatment of her that was absolutely blessed by the Queen.
You can be a supporter. Great
I don't respect her. She's not the brightest.
And yes, "inspirational" messages on a banana to sex workers is tacky.
She doesn’t need your respect bc it means absolutely nothing. However, maybe you should get out there and help sex workers. Where is your charity? Where will you be this Saturday helping them? How do you continue to help them?
No
I don't work with sex workers. But if I did, a banana doesn't cut it. I do, however, work with kids - and CPS for all of us is on speed dial. So I know a "tad" bit about abuse . . .
How do you help victims of abuse? By posting inspirational sayings on FB?
I’m going to say, having been a “street kid”, and having had to use sex for payment, even though I wasn’t a “sex worker”.. those messageswould have gotten me through many days a little more easily.
Yes, I would have loved money and more resources in my pocket, but there were many days I needed to not feel so alone, judged, and feeling like I was worthless. I used to feel like the world was a grey place, inaccessible to me. I would have said I was fine, believing the whole time I had to do it on my own. I’m still that way, to this day.
There were many days I literally forgot I was a person, and would have likely rejected “real” help, because I didn’t think I was deserving of it. So yeah, a message on a banana, no matter how trite it might seem to someone who has never lived that way, can make an impact. I would have read it, on my own, and realized someone meant it for me. It may have given me a little hope on those really dark days.
You have no idea if it will help, or if it won’t, but it costs nothing more than a few seconds of time.
Or a message on a napkin or sticky note? A banana peel will go straight in the trash.
I'm sorry for your experience and I'm glad you're past it.
Yes, a napkin or a sticky note would have been great too, but there was also a time I didn’t get to have “possessions” because I didn’t have a home. I carried what I couldn’t, and left what I couldn’t.
FWIW, sex workers often don’t get to have “things”. A personal note in their pocket could get them beaten, especially if their pimp found it and thought they were in a relationship or something similar where their keeper was not getting a cut.
Because you’ve all worked with people doesn’t mean you seem to “get” what some of the realities are. It’s not the movies.
Agreed that PP seems pretty clueless. Thanks for being patient in your explanation. I am glad you are out.
The people criticizing the bananas seem pretty entitled and obnoxious.
