This isn’t a hard left country. It’s a centrist country that wobbles between center left and center right. It never goes left, let alone hard left.
If the Dem nominee is a hard lefty, they will lose. Period.
Let’s just be pragmatic about this. Biden is the only one who can win.

Totally agree! If the Democrat nominee is not a centrist, then Democrats will loose. The majority of Americans will never vote for an extremist on the left. It is not going to happen.
A Bill Clinton would win for sure.
A Joe Biden...I'm not sure. He's pretty random, and getting worse.
Dems just need to find another Bill Clinton - minus the ugly baggage.
Or an Obama. I just don't see anyone out there now that can hold a candle to either of them in terms of appeal or political ability.
Harris is the new Obama and, nope, Obama himself made sure with that second term that no Obama-like candidate (inexperienced first-time Senator playing identity politics) wins in a loooong time.
A Bill Clinton would win.
I've said this for a long time and I hate myself for it. Charismatic, smart white guy is probably the way to go. Who is this? On the young side (looking at you, Biden, who pissed me off entering at all!). I like Harris. She is probably my favorite of the pack. But...I acknowledge the reality of elections and that she has many factors against her with the general populace and against the Great Orange, I do want to win! I'd love a Bill...

I think we are screwed
Biden is weak and flawed but anyone above 1% is too progressive to win the general
Millennials will be the biggest voting bloc in 2020 for the first time ever and we're progressive as hell. We overwhelmingly support Bernie and unsurprisingly we're not accurately represented in the polls.
Keep the faith.
We're gonna win.
Hope you have deep pockets for the rest of your life.
Average Americans will be worse off with establishment candidates. Bottom 80% will be voting for the progressive ideas of Bernie, Tulsi or Yang. They are tired of getting screwed.
I'm an average American and would vote for Biden--not the others.
So you're OK voting for an aging, mentally muddled white guy OR an avowed racist who is probably legally insane -- but not, say, Kamala Harris?
You do realize no one is actually going to get rid of private health insurance or make college free, right? We do still have a completely paralyzed Congress that will make sure of that.

Speak for yourself. I'm a lifelong Dem donor 34 year old Millennial and you'll have to drug me and drag me to the polls to cast a vote for Bernie. Are you and your cohort "not represented in the polls" because you sat out 2016 as you conducted your ridiculous purity tests? Yeah. Thought so. Thanks for TRUMP!

True. Millennials don’t pick up the phone.
is there an influx of millennial going to Wis, Pa, MI, other actual battleground states
I wish people on here had a little more knowledge about how we actually elect the president of the United States
I have no doubt that we will win the popular vote again its the electoral college that matters
Take a look at the approval ratings of the current president in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania when you have a chance. And/or look at the 2018 election results there.
2018 was won because we ran moderates in swing districts who were mainly running on healthcare and other actual legit issues
none of this free stuff for illegals, free college, and getting rid of private health insurance crazy progressive bs
again my original point still stands. I believe that Biden is too weak/forgetful to be the nominee and the rest of the top 5 are too progressive to actually win
