Me too but I couldn’t do it because everyone would assume it was out if some weird obsession with her when I am indifferent.
I feel this way about a number of names that I think are inherently beautiful but have a mildly annoying pop culture association I don’t want to deal with. I also have a weirdly encyclopedic memory for pop culture facts so I think I’m more sensitive to this than most people.

I love Brooke. Aside from Aurora, I don’t think any of these names are too unusual for a kid.
Aurora is #36. It’s the most popular one.

I like it but personally prefer it spelled Calista. But I'm sure they had their reasons for using K.

I know but when we ran it by a couple people, the first thing they both said (separately, on different occasions) was "oh, very French!" and we felt like within our families and social circle it would come off as too pretentious for that reason. We found a name we like more anyway.

I know a Persephone. It suits her beautifully.
I enjoy this name but worried a bit about nicknames. Like I worried if we used it, she'd get called Percy because Persephone is a mouthful and unfamiliar for a lot of people. Or just get called "P" at school or something. Does this happen to the Persephone you know? We are also considering Calliope and Penelope and are comfortable with the common nicknames for both (even though we will mostly use the full name). But Persephone is less common.
