Isn't SES as it's used on DCUM just a euphemism for race.
Yes, on this board when people say low SES, they specifically mean poor minorities.
Wrong again. You are on a roll. Low SES means poor. If you equate poor with minorities that's your own racial bias.
When people on DCUM talk about "low SES", what they mean is "poor". And in Montgomery County, as in Howard County, most of the people who are poor are black and Latino.

Why is why wealthy blacks will fight to segregate their kids from other blacks.
Ask the Obamas for insights about Chicago and DC public schools.
Stop it with your ignorant comment.
Typical BS from HoCo segreganists.
Um tell that to all the UMC+ black folks in DC and PG county that are going private lol
Sigh!
Why would they live in PG if they wanted to segregate their kids from other black kids?
Stop digging yourself into a hole.
its segregation from the poors you idiot. You can get a ton of house for the money in PG but the schools generally suck so most people of means go private
You’re too dumb to realize that you're making an ass out of yourself and showing your true colors.
"segregate their kids from other black kids"... "it's segregation from the poors". So the poors are the black kids.
Like I said, stop posting ignorant comments for your own sake. You're not too bright.
Imbecile.
I have to say, you may not even know it but it's you who is the racist "imbecile" who can't see beyond color. (not PP) I know that you will never see it because you are stuck inside this box where everything in life is about race.
It's the the other PP who equates being poor with Black kids.
But then again, racists always pretend there's no racism, the world is colorblind.

Yes, it is very much about SES. I am a wealthy black person who lives in Howard County. Honestly, I really do not care about the race or ethnicity the students are at my children's school. However, I do care about them attending schools with other wealthy and UMC families. Only white liberals twist themselves into a pretzel over the diversity BS. The wealthy minorities in my social circle choose high performing schools rather they are public or private for their children. I know it is not PC to mentioned this on DCUM, but the fact of the matter is that schools with high concentrations of FARM students are not the best learning environments. Often times they are violent, the children come from dysfunctional homes, academics are dismal, and there is a culture of low expectations. Embracing dysfunction and pacifying poor choices is all the norm in those schools. Who wants their children to be expose to a destructive learning environment just to give naïve social justice warriors a thrill?
This blogger is just an extremist who wants attention and to stir the pot. I am not shedding a tear about what he wrote and his social engineering views. When I encounter folks like him, I tell myself, "Oh look at the holier than thou, know it all Marxist." I sigh and keep it moving. Believe me when I say this wealthy blacks, Asians, and Latinos are not loosing sleep about rubbing shoulders with lower class people. We do not feel guilty about working hard, residing in safe neighborhoods, or sending our children to high performing schools. So why white folks on DCUM are debating with each other about who is and who is not a racist because certain families do not want their children around poor people, us wealthy minorities find these folks quite peculiar. It is beyond ridiculous for anyone to feel guilty about sending their children to high performing schools!
