Most Langley and McLean kids don’t want to go to TJ.

But, yes, the ones that do, and don’t get in, continue to work hard and may just find the consolation prize turned out to be better for them than the brass ring.

It's a nice deal to have a "reach" option with a great "backup" for high school as well as college. I do know that some people move into the Langley pyramid intending to shoot for high school at TJ, knowing that the zoned school will be great for the child if they don't get into TJ.

Knowing that you will go to the #2 high school in the state if you can't get into #1 is not too bad.
