Immigrants start companies. Immigrants fill our universities and do research to develop new drugs.

And at this point, the conserva-lie will be: "but you're focusing on immigrants who go through the normal process". Here's two reasons why the conservative distraction is wrong.
(1) Many of our ancestors were immigrants who came a century ago, when the equivalent of today's GOP demonized poor Italian and Irish immigrants -- i.e. literal "America First" conservative groups demonized legal immigrants too for political advantage. It's not about the process, it's about xenophobic tribalism to get votes.
(2) The reason smart creative legal immigrants want to come to America is our multicultural society which makes them feel welcome. The GOP's xenophobia is chasing those people away too.
(3: extra) Stephen Miller wants to cut legal immigration.
Bottom line: Tucker Carlson demonizes immigrants, to get poor gullible white people to vote for his boss Rupert Murdoch's pro-billionaire policies.
Without Tucker's hate, almost no one would vote for tax cuts for Murdoch.
It's not about immigrants. It's about billionaires.

Again, it's shocking how much this rhetoric mirrors Nazi propaganda.

In less than three minutes, Tucker Carlson suggested immigrants make the United States “dirtier,” contradicted himself on their values and gushed over Mexicans frustrated with Central American caravans. The opening tear cost his Fox News show an advertiser, at least for now.
Tucker Carlson and Fox news are harming America.

Here's a though... try watching CNN or MSNBC with as much disdain as you do Fox. You might actually notice that they're ALL biased.
Stop watching cable news. The news isn't the product. You, the audience, are the product. Their mission is to get you invested enough to watch through the commercials. Useful, educational news that is a fair representation of the world around you isn't terribly effective at that. Making you scared and angry, now that packs the emotional punch necessary to keep you watching through the commercials.
No, stop watching TV, period. It's all junk.

He has no idea about the truth. I asked him about Manafort and he said “Who?”
But he can quote Fox lies chapter and verse about Hilllary and Uranium One and Foundation etc etc.
You obviously don't watch Fox. Manafort is much discussed there. Hillary and Uranium One come up occasionally. But, of course, they never come up on the other networks.
+1.
Personally I think you need to watch both CBS News or similar AND Fox News to actually be informed about what's happening on our country.
Each prioritize only the most convenient half.

Yep. I feel the only way to get both sides to a story is to watch/read all kinds of sources. They're all biased, so you might as well hear all the slants and them make up your own mind.
Exactly
Nonsense. Reputable newspapers are as unbiased as they can be. You can get international papers on line. Do not watch any cable or broadcast news! At least the act of reading involves the critical center’s of the brain.

Who even watches TV news now? Aside from 70+ crowd.
If you'll both notice, the PP mentioned watching AND reading all news sources. Critical reading, and all...![]()
Additionally, most of the liberal DCUM crowd lives and breathes CNN, MSNBC, etc., so you might want to talk to your cohort about their TV viewing habits.
In your Fox-addled imagination.

The only ones obsessed with CNN and MSNBC are Trump and his idiot supporters.
And, it seems as if one poster here is obsessed with Fox. Seems as if there is a weekly thread criticizing Fox for something. I guess that is what happens when you're #1 in cable.
#1 in mentally-unstable, self-absorbed old farts with nothing better to do?It's 2018 -- who even sits around watching TV?
Well, you tell us. Who's watching CNN and Rachel Maddow?
I have no f*cking idea. No one under 70.
Interesting. I can't picture the over 70 crowd flocking to watch Maddow,
