I'm a physician with urticaria since receiving h1n1 5 months ago. Wish I hadn't taken it!!!!

My test came back positive. I'm not sure what is means...have an appt in April to discuss w/ my dr.
Thanks for answering my question. I'm into my ninth week with hives. Just curious....did your hives just gradually start disappearing, now that you say you don't really have them much anymore? That would be so nice to have happen!

I work with health care professionals and they say that this could go on for a year. I am taking 5 mg. of Aerius and 150 mg of Zantac at breakfast and supper. I take 50 mgs. of novo-hydroxyzin at bedtime. This is the first week that I have not have huge welts from head to toe. I have small spots but nothing like before. I was sick for one week, couldn't keep anything in me and the hives came back with a vengeance. I guess this is something I will have to deal with until it decides to go away. I am going to ask my allergist for an allergy test to eggs.

My hives have taken about 3 months to go away. I do still get them randomly in the evenings, but nothing compared to what they were. I went to an allergist and everything came back neg. They also tested my thyroid and that was fine too. I am waiting the results of the CU Index test.
What is a CU Index test?
I'm still getting hives....almost six weeks now, and wonder if it's even worth going through the testing, as for most people, it doesn't seem to give any answers. And if only antibodies are floating around our bodies after having had the shot, does this mean somehow that getting the shot goofed up the immune system and we'll live with hives indefinitely?????
