Mid Atlantic ECNL U13 points
VDA 30
Loudoun 12
BRYC 9
McLean 3
We'll get a better idea next year whether there is a trend. McLean and BRYC are strong in the oldest age groups and VDA dominates two youngest age groups. If the youngest age group teams for BRYC and McLean flop next year and VDA adds another strong age group, we can start acknowledging the shift in power.
A shift in power ??? Having a good team at u13-14 does not mean you will be good at 16-19. McLean and BRYC are going to bring in players at those age groups. Both of those clubs have connections with top colleges, national teams and are killing it u15 and above. Please don't be so Naive. U13-14 VDA Parents need to watch the older age groups.
Totally agree
U15+
BRYC 106 points
VDA 29 points
That is a monumental gap. Good luck.....

They found they needed some cash so they "manufactured" a couple teams to fill in the gaps. Beyond the younger age groups, the girls side doesn't want to develop anyway....they just want to win games.
They seem to be winning a lot of games and I doubt they would be doing so if the players were not getting better. A stupid statement, my daughters play for Loudoun and every BRYC team I saw played good soccer. Winning is part of playing in a national league. If they are developing younger players like you said what is wrong with playing to win and playing good soccer while they do that?
Let's all play to lose

BRYC is NOT a true academy by any account.
Not enough kids?
There are plenty of kids! BRYC is not invested in all their players, but always happy to add another paying customer. Recruiting has already started for the teams who are losing.
so if they have enough kids, and are training them with similar style and opportunities to compete at appropriate levels, what makes it not an academy again?
