There are a few for DS's year but there are also kids from all over NoVa so no - it doesn't appear so but there is a link through coaches I believe.

Most likely not for the same reason there's no pipeline for most of the other privates. Schools like GP, Gonzaga, STA, Heights, et al will not be as favorable for parents if they don't like the religious affiliations of those schools. Paul VI is a catholic school so it stands to reason the school won't be a choice for some kids and parents. Non-denominational schools like Bullis and Landon have a greater advantage, tuition excluded, as having a wider umbrella of choices.

VLC has a very tight relationship with PVi and it will get only stronger when PVI moves to Loudoun.

Madlax has had a lock on that for a decade. Still is #1. Blackwolf took a bite out of that, but Trig’s demons caught up with him. Baltimore Crabs rivals Madlax, and VLC has been like an ugly stepsister to the Crabs. But with VLC alums killing it at places like u-MD and Yale, crabs of the Baltimore variety are becoming more of the step-sibling! PVI, the de facto feeder to VLC is strong and with their new campus is poised to take over the western part of va. So me thinks VLC is on the verge of crushing all area clubs.

I see more of the VLC Loudoun kids going to public powerhouse schools out there like Briar Woods and Riverside rather than PVI.

College coaches simply don’t have the time or resources to truly scrub the thousands and thousand of laxers for talent. Yes, this is correct but my point was that the "brand" name of the club is meaningless. As long as the club plays in top tournaments the club does not matter. All the coaches vouch for a player. As long as the player can play, the coaches will notice. I do know there are some clubs out there for kids that maybe do not want to get exposed to top college programs. Those are fine as well and I think the parents and clubs know what they are for. However if a player plays for ML, NL, DCE, VLC, Hawks, Crabs, FCA, ect...One may win more games or have a higher mythical ranking but as far as colleges it does not make a difference.

This is a very silly comment I LOL'd. Brand Name?? College coaches could care less what the jersey is. Many kids play for multiple teams and guest play. The reason a club like Madlax has a large number of kids in college programs is that they are great players. With the new recruiting rules, showcases and prospect days are what counts. As long as a team is playing in top tournaments, it does not matter who the team is. If a kid can play a coach will notice. The player can email a coach and they will watch him play not the score. No more rolling the dice on 8th graders. Club lacrosse is a small group inside of a niche sport. Brand name is not even a thing.

Ironic. VLC players have phenomenal placement success despite not having Madlax's brand name recognition so I guess they have to be great players. It could be that CM tells colleges that these players are great, they would be stars on any club team and he's lucky to have them... but I doubt it.

Except this figure does not account for the much larger teams that MadLax fields (or the fact that they have two teams per age group, Caps and DMV, where VLC has just one). Your chances of being noticed and recruited from MadLax are correspondingly smaller.

The bill this year was around $2200, I think. When we played for Madlax, it was $3,500+. You get a lot more for you money at VLC plus you don't have to give your money any more to that guy.
