If so, it may have been through that relationship that Porter first came into the White House's orbit, and Mr. Kushner may very well have been aware of the previous "rumors" about his ex-wives. Also, both Hope Hicks and Sarah Huckabee Sanders adamantly defended, in drafting or making statements, Mr. Porter, until the last possible moment. This was done even though Hicks and Sanders were surely aware of the domestic violence allegations. John Kelly is not the only reprehensible White House actor in this particular saga.
Indeed. Sanders is taking a "vacation" today.

Flynn lasted for weeks.
Exactly Flynn continued for weeks after the DOJ (Yates) warned the WH he was a security risk with full access to top secret documents just like Porter who had full access to all the documents that cross the President s desk and could not get fbi clearance for a security clearance
Sanders said yesterday that Porter won’t leave right away, that he needed to transition with a replacement.
Ny Times reported late last night he was leaving today. What a difference a photo can make.
Without the photo John Kelly would still be denying that anything happened between Porter and his ex-wives. Kelly is a complete disgrace, he needs to go too.
