Assaults by Uber drivers get reported in local media but I haven't yet seen any major media outlet do a larger look. It's past time. I also would not let my teen daughter use it.

I know people who’ve put 9 year olds in Ubers in DC in a pinch. The fact that you have the driver’s # and can track the ride on your phone... I don’t see how this is less safe than kids walking on the street alone.
