Lol...exactly. ACT got so popular that the SAT changed its format to more closely resemble it.

Madison is an amazing city and UW is a fantastic school. The UW system has many other campuses around the state. The top in state students go to UW Madison. Those that can't get in to Madison go to one of the other campuses like UW La Crosse, Whitewater, etc. Both STEM and Humanities are strong. It is a competitive school. The campus is part urban and part hilly green space by the lake. There is a building boom in the city and on campus. There are tons of restaurants, coffee shops, bookstores, music venues, theater, etc. There is something for everyone at UW Madison. People who think it is a bunch of white farm kids have no clue. The city is hip and the university is top notch.

OMG, ya'll are crazy. I know UMD is a great school - that's why it's on DC's list! But this thread is about Wisconsin.

I appreciate everyone who gave helpful answers! Sounds like it's worth a visit.
