I agree about Ms Trevelyan - that's the reason I found this site! But in my opinion there's somebody eqhally as unlistenable to and that's Chris Mason. I'm not complaining about his Yorkshire accent, just listen to the excellent voice of fellow-Yorkshireman, Paul Henley. It's his inability to do his Rs, as the saying goes, and his general diction. Years ago the BBC had trained speakers and the only ones who did not live up to its high standards were, for example, experts called in from outside the BBC to give their opinion. The people we are complaining about are, as far as I know, employees. At least Trevelyan and Mason should be given old-fashioned elecution lessons with good British actors before being allowed on air.
