What about all the kids who cannot speak English?

They ask for hundreds of millions in increases every year and when they don't get everything they want, they call it a "cut" Very dishonest.
Don't worry, they'll plead "cuts" again next year and the cycle will repeat.
Yes, the number of students increases every year, the number of students needing special services increases, and mandated benefits for teachers has been increased. So the budgetary needs increase.
Nope. Not close.
Number of students this year is flat. 0 increase.
There is absolutely no evidence the number of special needs students are increasing.
"mandated benefits?", well, write your legislator and ask to hold benefits flat. The benefits are great now, no need to increase.
Even so, we had a very large increase this year, and mark my words, they will be back for more. You can't feed a bureaucrat enough money.
There is absolutely no evidence the number of special needs students are increasing.

Please, someone, explain where the money is coming from.

Anonymous wrote:It's funny how libs hate the poor when it effects them.
They hate that VA has a progressive tax system where the rich (NoVA) is taxed and the income is redistributed to the poor (the rest of VA).
They want the meals tax. Even though it's one of the most regressive taxes possible, their love of big government beats their faux concern for the workers.
and many more...it's a long list....

Gotta have a dedicated stream of money (in addition to all the other money). Even though the raise in the sales tax was supposed to specifically earmarked for transportation.
A new tax a year....with a pipeline of more. Sigh.....
Time to just say stop.
That's how it was in Maryland under o'malley. I couldn't believe that after I left Maryland they finally got a republican governor. After years of feeling like my vote was thrown away.
Don't live in Maryland, but it was interesting that the new Republican governor lowered many fees and tolls, and the Democrats were upset about that.
I guess Democrats are that addicted to spending other peoples money.

It's always cost more than simply throwing a chicken breast, a potato and some vegetables in the oven.
Don't believe me? Ok. It's not about the "teeny bit" of extra cost. It's about f.u. to the tax & spend democrats. And we don't eat much chicken or potatoes either. We eat mostly vegetarian.
And this pp wants republicans/conservatives to leave NOVA:
I don't even understand why conservatives or Republicans live in Fairfax County. You have a whole state who wants you. Leave our blue part alone or just know yes, you will be taxed to fund YOUR child's education and deal with it.
+1,000. I have lived in FFX County for 35 years and was just going to post a similar comment.
