If Depp is innocent, why not get your team of lawyers to file a lawsuit against her for defamation and slander? Makes no sense why his team is letting this go if she is lying.

I think it's more than possible for abusive habits to emerge later in life or in a specific relationship even if he has never exhibited such tendencies in previous relationships.
You know this proves nothing. Who the heck is Stephen? Stephen is "purported" to be Depp's assistant. Verified by whom. Is it Stephen Dorf? Stephen Baldwin? Steven douche". Who? The phone just says Stephen. And the text is using This purported Stephen's words. We're the text fabricated? I dunno. I just no that it's proof of nothing. They text isn't even from Depp's.

That coupled with the defense by Vanessa Paradis and I think she's lying. How could he have been with Vanessa for 15 years and never been violent with her and this appeared overnight? Why would the LAPD have gone to the house and found no evidence of abuse that night? Why would Stanhope make up the story about her threatening to blackmail Johnny? I think she's crazy.
Just because he was not physically violent with Vanessa does not mean he is isnt physically violent with Amber. Vanessa was also older and more established than Amber. She also probably held her ground and did not take shit from Depp. Amber is very young and very insecure. Dating/being married to a high profile man like Depp and dealing with his abuse was probably very difficult.
He is probably more abusive towards Amber because he can get away with more. Plus the text exchange from his assistant shows that a whole team of people were trying to rein Amber in. SCARY.
It's insane how little people understand about domestic violence and abuse. I was 24 when I met my now ex-husband (he was 31), and the violence - physical and emotional - became progressively worse. I stood up for him, explained his actions away, etc until I simply couldn't anymore and left. He's been with another woman since we divorced (same age as he is) - and by all appearances he isn't abusive to her at all.
I was in an abusive relationship and I feel weird about her story. Going to the press the way she did, the texts, it just feels staged.
Do you feel her story is weird because you believe victims should remain silent? Do you feel like she is getting what she deserves (public doubt and more shame)? Do you think she should have kept her mouth shut? Do you feel bad for Depp because his wife had photographs of his abuse and she went public?
Yes, it all feels so staged. So staged that people believe the rich, famous, once attractive man over the girl half his age. I don't know how she keeps managing to come up with all this fake evidence. I'm surprised that his side has yet to say a word of denial.
Maybe because he just buried his mother. Maybe because he has two daughters and don't want to starting slingin dirt in the media. Maybe because he would rather try the evidence or lack of evidence in a court of law, and not the media. Maybe because a smart lawyer told him "don't say a damn word".
