I was going to say that if you want to make me (a northerner who wears minimal makeup, has never dyed my hair as an adult, and doesn't have fantastic fashion sense) feel bad, don't compare me to a southern woman. Compare me to a Parisian.
Also, I had to laugh at the post way way back that said southern women's global advantage is due to their smiling friendliness. Actually, I love smiling and smiling is something I love about America, but worldwide, our smiling can come off as making us look potentially missing a few screws.
