Love seeing young people blossom in an imperfect would and maybe find lifelong friends and potential future world change makers and business, science, global leaders.
Was so impressed with the diversity of kids in preschool programs. Also impressed with some of the renovated buildings and the different curriculum at schools.
At our EOTP prek, acceptance by the kids will depends on your child's willingness to share toy cars or their knowledge of the lyrics to the Frozen soundtrack. They can also score points by bringing in grandparents from exotic locations likeNew Jersey
Your acceptance as a parent will be largely dependent on your willingness to take a shift selling pizza or car magnets at one of our many fundraisers.

Because they applied after the lottery deadline and the system made a mistake that was corrected within 24 hours? I can understand a bit of disappointment, but anger seems out of line.
+1. And even if they were 7 on a WL it is very unlikely they'd get in.

Damn. We went from single digit to high 80's!!! And lost a little faith in the lottery in the process. Although MSDC now reflects that it's for Wnglish dominant.

This is the message...
Good evening,
You are receiving this email because you recently submitted a post-lottery application to either Bruce-Monroe or Bancroft Elementary School.
When we initially processed your application you were added to the incorrect waitlist and provided with the inaccurate waitlist number. Unfortunately, now that you are on the correct waitlist, behind all of the applicants that applied before you, your waitlist number is likely to have increased significantly.
I sincerely apologize for the confusion and disappointment this may cause.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to me, or to contact the My School DC hotline at 202-888-6336, if you have any questions.
Best,
Amy

It's definitely a bummer, though I knew something wasn't right. We're now #165, English dominant.
