And, Bartles and Jaymes (note spelling) wasn't in my fridge as much as California Coolers, the original/gateway drink circa 1985 for me. We'd even buy "family-sized" 2 liter (?) bottles of Ca. Coolers and load up our fridge.
Off-campus parties served Milwaukee's Best (AKA Milwaukee's Worst AKA The Beast) in kegs.
Worst was buying a BOTTLE of Boone's Farm and having that be my drink for the night...right out of the bottle. Classy!
Weird that I remember more beverages than food in the 80's/90s. Or not, given that the hardest thing I drink now is very strong coffee!
More 70s, but carried over into the 80s...ever have Russian Tea? Your mom likely made it and gave it out at Christmas. This is a homemade instant tea mix with Tang ('anyone?), cinnamon, sugar...basically hot sugar water.
YES! I did that all the time in college - Strawberry Hill flavor was my favorite, but I also liked the blue one. Blue wine!! Gives me a headache just thinking about it.

The last time I had Goldschlagger my friend threw up in my purse. I never had Goldschlagger again. I still can't see gold flecks without heaving a little.
Last time I drank Goldsschlagger ended with me and a bunch of other girls in the kitchen of the restaurant/bar weighing ourselves on the meat scale. #keepitclassy

In college I ate a lot of Lipton Noodles and Sauce. My favorite was the chicken and broccoli one.
The Friendly's watermelon roll with seeds lol...

When I think of the eighties and nineties, I think of how ubiquitous quiche, all things balsamic, pesto, goat cheese, and flourless chocolate cake became.
Ok but some of us were not 26 and going to restaurants and ordering balsamic food in 1992. We were being fed casseroles by our moms!
