I think it's weird too. She does it very purposefully! "Vander Pump" sounds more threatening, more maneuvering & spider-webbish than plain Lisa.
It's very military.

Anonymous wrote:I'm baffled by Katherine's behavior -- how does she not understand that what Erica said about Lisa shouldn't have been repeated? I mean, that's etiquette 101. She must be dense on purpose. It just makes no sense otherwise.
Anonymous wrote:I'll say this for Rinna: she has balls. She's going to go up against Vanderpump and Kyle now? HOO BOY. This is going to make for some good TV.
Because Vanderpump is the alpha. End of story. She took down Adrienne, Kyle (before she forgave her), Brandi, those two randoms from season four (Carlton and Joyce), etc. You're either in with her, or you are out.
You can be "out" and have it be OK, like with Eileen. You can choose to be above it like Erika, who gives zero clucks. But if you want to be "in," as Rinna desperately does, you play by Vanderpump's rules!

Snapping at your spouse in front of others is the ultimate disrespect. If this is how you behave you are rude.
Anonymous wrote:I think Tom snapped at Erika at the dinner because he wanted all the harpies to shut the fuck up but since they are women, and guests in his home, the only way he could really send that message was to tell ERIKA to hush. I do think he was later pissed as she said, but probably in a broader sense like "You just HAD to do this RHOBH show and it's a fucking mess and you're now 45 and engaging in catfights on camera in our home."

Erika must have decided long ago that she would tolerate this behavior. If that's the case, she should be smart enough not to interrupt him in front of company, because MAN does it look bad!

I agree with this. It was too easy for the cast to hide between Brandy and Kim. They were the clear loony tunes. Now it's more ambiguous and it seem clear that an Erika/Yolanda/Eileen v Kyle/Vanderpump/Kathryn divide is happening and if Rinna goes Team Yolanda...well, that's interesting. Brandi came the closest to toppling Queen Vanderpump but she couldn't hold it together and she self-imploded. Erika/Yolanda/Eileen/Rinna? That's a much more formidable group.
These Housewives shows have become so meta. There are so many layers going on off camera and more and more, they talk about it and that becomes the storyline. The storyline is how they're all on this TV show and fucking each other over when the cameras are off.
