I think some of these names are great. John, Jack and Sarah are not so great. Too common, boring, everyone has your name, etc. However some of these "unique" names are not so uncommon. I think aria is in the top 10 nationally..

I HATE having a mainstream name. Like Jessica in the 1980s. We had Jessica B, Jessica D, Jessica R... maddening.

I named my daughter Kelsey. We have never met another Kelsey her age. A few grown women but no kids.

I know about 5000 Kelsy's. Good grief. It's like Brittney.

Balonis. And all the kids call him Baloney.
Onya: All the kids call her Onion Head.

When naming your child, try to think what it rhymes with because that is what the other kids will call your child, like it or not.

When I was a little girl I wanted to name my daughter Persephone when I grew up.
I only have a son.

Still like the name but after this rough winter she has a lot of explaining to do! Or I guess her mother does.

Audrey is unique? Hahahaha

I'll tell that to the 3 in our extended family-and the multiple friends who also have one.
