No. I do mine and our daughters. I separate his clothes and his towels and he does his own.
Why?
Because when I did wasn’t good enough, so now, he has to do it and will get old doing it, if he doesn’t want to then he will have to pay someone to do it.
Instead of being thankful he chose to bitch about it so now.... he does it himself.
That’s how we Brazilian wives make a point.

I do most loads of laundry, including sorting and folding (semi- folding tbh, I'm not very domestically skilled). I usually leave his in a laundry basket by his dresser for him to put away since I don't pay attention to his method of organization well enough. Although if I have a few free minutes and he has an over flowing pile to put away, I'll put it away, taking guesses for some items. I work part time from home. He works full time outside home.

I wash it all and fold it all. He puts his away. The kids (8-5) put their own away as well. I sort everyones into piles/by drawer. I'm a SAHM, I don't mind doing laundry at all as long as everyone brings it to the laundry room. Otherwise, it isn't getting done.

Why do you take pride in it? Do you do the laundry by the river with soap you made yourself? As you say, it's just laundry.

We each do our own and share the kids' laundry. Works out well.

Do all the other wives not have careers equal to their spouses'? Each adult for him or herself in our house.


Why both being married? We got married to jointly divide household duties and money. We're a unit, not separate roommates.

We wash, hang dry, and fold each others laundry.

However DW is MUCH more picky about washing cycle types (gentle, delicates, heavy, etc), separating colors/whites, and hang drying particular items. So she is doing laundry more often than I am.

I'll just throw everything in together, as we don't have many soiled clothes.

However, we fold and leave clothes on the bed to put away. We keep our respective drawers and closets organized in a different manner.

I dont but only bc I WOH and laudry are one of the chores that we divide. He does his and I do everything else. If I SAH or laundry was solely one of my chores I would do it. BTW, my DH actually like to fold laundry - one more excuse for him to sit in front of the TV.

I do all the laundry that makes it into the hamper. I will not pickup clothes on the floor around hamper. I fold it all but only put away mine. I leave his stacked where ever his clothes are currently stacked at that time.

Nope. We even do our own laundry separately. We've been married awhile and we have just always done it that way.

Otherwise, my husband would probably be horrified if I tried to fold and put away his laundry. He's much neater than I am.

i gather/sort/wash/dry/fold/put away all the laundry. it's exhausting. i divide my clothes, dh's clothes, and ds' clothes on the bed, put mine away, ds' away, and usually end up putting dh's away last in a small hope he'll see it and do it his damn self.

My husband washes, folds, and puts away all the laundry. When he was away for work for a month, I had to figure out how to use the machine. I do all the cooking and cleaning up after cooking, though. It is a division of labor that works for us.
