People who debate whether this guy is guilty are idiots. The "documentary" was transparent in its bias, and anyone with a basic grasp of facts and reason can see he is guilty. Entertainment is not reality.

While Brendan Dassey will (tragically) be sitting in his cell until he is a Senior Citizen, Avery may get a brand new trial due to Theresa Halbach’s bone remains being given to her family before the Defense had a chance to have their own experts examine them.

I wish Brendan had another option to look forward to.
Sadly, there are none left unless new evidence emerges.

I always thought his older brother had a weird fetish about dead, young girls.
That is a clue that he should be investigated as a possible suspect.

Speaking of coerced youth confessions, I wonder what prosecutors now think of the “Central Park 5.”

Or the boys from the “Stephanie Crowe” case in Escondido, CA.

In both these cases, the real perpetrator was found.
But what if they had eluded capture?
Those boys (now men!) would have been sitting in a hot prison cell today.

I just finished watching Episode 10, Season 2.

Now after watching both seasons (I hear there might be a third!), I am on the fence re: Steven Avery’s guilt.
Really!!
Like 50/50.

I think he could be guilty because apparently Theresa had told someone going to his location weirded her out.
So he had to use a relative’s name to get her to come back.
Plus sorry, I realize it was a long time ago but who burns their family cat for entertainment...??!
His ex claimed she thought he should be in prison.
And the video of him running his cousin off the road was pretty crazy.
He told authorities he didn’t load the gun, but how was his cousin supposed to know that??

On the other hand.....
The Prosecutor is a perverted, sex fiend.
That’s all I see when I look at him.
Period.
That cop (brown uniformed one) is very shady, lacks integrity + has trouble looking anyone in the eye.
I wonder why.

Plus:
Why did someone pry open Steven’s blood vial kit, then sloppily re-seal it?
How can there be none of the victim’s DNA on Steven’s bed, floor, home & garage?
Also, how is it that after multiple previous searches -
The car key was found in clear view??
Steven isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, but even he would have enough wits to not have the victim’s vehicle on his property.
He would have crushed it.

I think if he did do it, then that is not only terrible what he did for Theresa’s family, but what he put his elderly, loyal parents through.
His parents are a live definition of emotional pain.
And they likely will never see their son a free man.
Ever.

Brendan should have not spent a day in jail.
He obviously has developmental learning + social disabilities which it appears he is fully aware of.
It broke my heart to hear him tell his Mom that he was stupid. ;(
His lawyer Len looked like a creepy, fame whore.
His smile gives me horrible vibes.
The fact that he actually encouraged his client to accept a plea deal......??!
Sounds more foe vs. advocate.
The hope in his voice as he excitedly talks about “going home” really breaks my heart into pieces.
He wanted to move, have a family, enjoy nature.
Even eat a real hamburger w/curly fries.

Instead he has currently exhausted every. single. appeal. left.
Once the U.S. Supreme Court refused to hear his case, then that sealed his fate.
He will be eligible for “early release” at the age of 59.
16-59 locked up.
Makes my blood boil.

Part of me thinks he did do it, but can I say there's no reasonable doubt? No, I can't. I mean, the idea that Steven of all people could cover up and clean up a murder and get rid of all the evidence just doesn't fly. Even if her body was burned up the bonfire, she was not murdered in that exact spot - there would be blood or hair or skin folliciles or something somewhere - and likely all over the place. Let's say he kill her but, oops, then left her car key in his room. But at the same time he was able to get rid of basically all the other direct evidence except for her car on the property and two spots of his blood in her car?

It seems unbelievable that the key to Teresa's car was just laying there the whole time and not seen in how many searches? Until the car was found, then poof! there it was. Also the searchers who enter the giant junkyard and within a few minutes zero in immediately on where the car was parked.

And the towel story is entirely uncorroborated. It's myth directly from Mr. Sexting's lips alone. There is no evidence that ever happened.

Yeah Mr Sexting (great name BTW) said several things that certainly refute the show if true but I feel like he's being given more credit than he deserves...why would I believe him after seeing his behavior in the show and knowing how he treated a domestic violence victim?
