I have wiccan friends and they are so wonderful towards me. Again, thank Gaia for posting. Tears of happiness here, truely wonderful.

What do you think of the TV show Transparent (if you've watched it)? My husband and I are sort of addicted, but also feel like its sort of beating us over the head with its I don't know--Californianess-- at the same time. Your reaction (if you've watched it)?

I have a love/hate relationship with labels. I appreciate that the word exists; it makes people who are transgender seem less "other", as now we're not the only ones who use a word (trans/cis) in front of our gender.

I think it's similar to the word "straight" and how having a word for that orientation makes people who identify as "gay" or "bisexual" or "pansexual" or any other sexuality that they identify with seem less odd or taboo.

If I wish I was male, always have wished I was male, hate my breasts, don't have sex because I hate having stuff stuck into my vagina and dislike 99pct of what's supposed to be female...am I transgender? I am seriously asking. Or am I only trans if I identify as trans and am actively pursuing to change my gender?

My 13 year old daughter just told me she is transgendered. While I am totally accepting of this and believe it is a real thing, it just doesn't ring true for my daughter. While she is not girly, I have never sensed her discomfort with girly things. For example, she has never had a problem wearing dresses and still does on occasion. She has large breasts and makes no attempt to hide them...even wears form fitting t-shirts.

I am trying to find a specialist to help me sort this out. She is convinced she is transgender; I am not. And I want to make sure this is what it is before she comes out, which she really wants to do. Any advice? How do you know for sure?

The PP here, for us - she is the same person she always has been. She has always been her, we just didn't see her as well because we saw the man outside hiding her. Once she transitioned, we saw her more clearly. It took some people more time to accept it.

Anyone who is disappointed, never saw the real the you.
