Please, please, please say that the yeast infection is not related. OP, please say that they can't get in your cooter. And thanks for sharing your test results!
Anonymous wrote:OP here. Labs came back. I have Ascariasis, along with pinworms. (Had a pap while I was there, and also dealing with a nasty yeast infection. I haven't had that since I was 24, and I am now 43. My flora has been thrown off.)
Here's the good news. . .I didn't have debilitating symptoms, and it didn't manifest in respiratory issues. It was just a pain in my ass. (Yes, I said that.)
Doctor told me NOT to take the herbal supplements I ordered on Amazon, as it will render the treatment ineffective. Don't know why, but I am putting my faith in the hands of doctors, and staying off the parasite blogs.
Chopstick lady. . .thank you for a much needed laugh. And others, thanks for reminding me NOT to eat berries in the field, wash all my fruits and vegetables, and be diligent about not only washing hands put scrubbing under nails.
Don't know what the host of my issues was/is, but I will never eat pork again. I think I have had my fair share for this lifetime anyway.
Keep on keepin' on people.

You can get pinworms from sushi.

Let's say I give her pills to de-worm, she poops in the toilet and sees what OP sees.
How the hell would an eight year-old react to that?!?! My guess is tht the therapy bills would be astronomical.
Not trying to be snarky, but it would suck for her to go untreated. Pinworms are pretty harmless, but can throw off absorption of nutrients, cause discomfort, and irritability in kids. My son was being a little asshole, and sure enough, he had them.
My son has been being a little asshole for a month or so, my husband just mentioned to me the other am he woke up in the middle of the night complaining that his butt hurt "inside" then I read this thread.......
Good lawd the shit no one tells you about
Anonymous wrote:I've had two parasitic worms. 1 was expelled like you describe. For the other, the medication I took made it an unlivable environment but the worm wouldn't die. Instead it would make its way to the nearest exist , crawl out, and die. You can imagine my horror when DH woke me up freakingiut as the worm crawled out of my mouth.
