That woman didn't say anything about VA, and you were a nanny a lot longer than 3 years.

Op here: because someone tried telling me I was lying and said that I said I was a nanny in VA for 3 years which I never was.

I'll try to rephrase my question.

One poster said: "This is the woman who was a nanny for 3 years. Doesn't sound like someone I'd want in charge of my kids. Unbalanced to say the least."
You responded: "OP here: I was not a nanny for 3 years in VA. I said I lived there 3 years ago. Please stop posting BS stuff."

This comment you made sparked like 10 pages of dialogue about whether you were actually a nanny, or whether you had been caught in a lie. At the time, I believed you clarified everything. But now that I know you were a nanny for much longer, I still do not understand your response. Why didn't you say something like, "Actually, I was a nanny for much longer than 3 years." I'm not saying you are lying. But you started an AMA thread, and this is what I'd like to understand.

Excuse me, Italian-American, I mean.

I am the pot calling the kettle black here. I was very much the same way through my mid-30s. I highly recommend taking some serious time off from dating and just exploring why you've maintained relationships that aren't healthy. You can do so much better, but it does take a particular skill set when dating to find a good person. In any event, I wish you good luck.

OP here: I appreciate your comment and I dont think it came off mean at all. I believe that I posted in my other forum that I think my exes occasional emotional abuse for years is a reason I tend to still fall for the wrong guys and I definitely have every plan on taking some time off from dating and working on some other things in my life.
Good for you, OP!

I dont think Op realizes most people are making fun of her vs actually wanting to know about her.

You go Nancy Drew!
Seriously, a lot of things are not adding up. When did OP go to college with all this nannying?

Op here: sorry but she is not Nancy Drew. You can go back to the original thread and see where I never said I was a nanny for only 3 years and why I corrected that person.

Also, I answered the college thing multiple times a couple of posts ago. Please actually go back and read before you make dumb comments!

OP here: Do I believe he actually was in PA? Yes. Do I believe his reason of "not wanting anyone to know"? No, not at all. I wasn't the only one he lied to, he didn't tell anyone else where he was going (besides his grandparents I guess- but only told them he was going to PA for a "job"). But no, I don't believe his reason at all.

Where in PA was he?

Op here: he said "Hamburg"

Are you an only child?

OP here: My family is from Rhode Island although my grandparents are from Sicily if that matters at all. I'm not an only child, I have two younger siblings.

Funny, I was going to ask if the family wealth was from the "construction" business. I am assuming yes. That explains a lot!

Op here: nope. My grandfather started a successful business and my dad took it over when he retired. Nothing to do with construction at all.

Sanitation?

Op here: lol no
