I've noticed the same trend; it's like many people are desperate to make this a hate crime without regard to any of the facts known.
Why?
Why is it "desperate" to hold the opinion that it is a hate crime? It's not exactly farfetched given the statements from the neighbors, his web site, and the fact that they were shot in the head, not in the parking lot but in their apartment.
- because people on this site and others started screaming HATECRIME! before any of the facts were known - other than the murder suspect was white and two of the victims dressed modestly.
That is why it seems desperate. And by "not exactly far fetched" - do you mean it's ok to just assume hate was the motive?
Assumptions, assumptions.
You are being misleading about the known facts. Beyond being white, the suspect also demonstrated through his Facebook postings that he is extremely hostile to religions and those who outwardly express their religions. The women did not only "dress modestly", but dressed in a manner that is identifiably Muslim. One of the victims previously told her father that she felt the suspect hated them because of who they were. In the end, it could be that none of this was a factor in the murders (though I suspect it was). However, to suggest that such a linkage is "far-fetched" requires a certain intentional obtuseness.

It is like you want to believe that Muslims are the hate mongers and that Whites are not capable of the same type of hatred. No one is hear is fanning any flames. The killer fanned those flames when he killed 3 clearly Muslim people in their apartment after posting some hateful things on FB and giving these people a hard time previously. We do not have all the facts but it is quacking and walking like a duck.
As an aside, a PP is 100% right. Who first mentioned this parking dispute story? The person/people who would most benefit from it being not being a premeditated hate crime. Who would that be? The killer and his wife. This guy KNOWS he is looking at the death penalty. So I am sure he and his wife will start talking about the victims threateneded HIM. Wait and watch.
Actually, that's not true. The male victim's ex-roommate mentioned the parking issues with that shooter, as did another neighbor who said the shooter was constantly harassing people in the complex about parking and noise. I'm not one of the PPs who is adamant that this is not a hate crime. I don't think anyone at this stage can be adamant one way or the other.

Yet if s black person punches a white person on the street, you all say hate crime without the slightest hint of motive.
In this case we have his beliefs on the web and statements from neighbors.
No, that is just called crime.

How odd that he didn't throw Eminem in there with Beyonce. Or MGK, Yelawolf, Bad Meets Evil, etc. All white rappers, by the way.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Why do some people want this so badly to be some sort of hate crime?

It seems like Mike Huckabee desperately wants to make Beyoncé the embodiment of what's wrong with America - who the hell knows why people become obsessed with things. Blame it on the times...we're a generation of hyperfocused hand-held device holders that are simultaneously on opposite ends of the spectrum seeing how we've got both obsessive–compulsive disorder and attention-deficit disorder.
