Yeah, I don't get walkathons, runs, and charity balls either. Why not just give money in the first place. Staging and organizing all that crap COSTS money. Just give money and cut out all that nonsense.

+1 I just prefer to donate directly myself. I don't need someone to do something in order for me to donate. I hate it when I get asked to sponsor.

Thanks! I agree. I actually used to be a size zero and got sick of constantly dieting, and the media sexualization of starvation. And it's funny because I actually think I get hit on MORE than when I was size zero, and be a higher caliber of men. It's a win win.

Does your DH know how uptight you are, and he's ok with it? I'm a DW and couldn't deal with how uptight you are, and I can be pretty uptight, too, but this seems pretty intense to me. I guess it's just degrees.
