Ignoring the OP because she's probably a troll ...

I don't understand all of the comments about how parents shouldn't teach their kids to drive. Is this a DC thing? Because in CA, underage drivers not only have to attend a driving school, but they have to have at least 50 hours of practice driving with an adult (ie, parent).

Soo I don't care much about the loony tunes OP but wanted to know if driving school is worth it? Should I take expensive driving lessons at 70 an hour or just learn with someone like a relative? I'm kind of nervous hwen driving especially if they yell at me I get very nervous about what to do next.

When my brother was two and my mom was pregnant with my sister my mom was in an accident that totaled the car and made the car flip multiple times. Neither my mom, sister, or brother was injured. My mom called my dad from the hospital and said what had happened and that they were shaken up but okay. So, my dad sent my mom's brother to pick them up while he made it to his planned golf date!! 40 years later she remembers this and still kind of resents golf, but they seem otherwise happily married... And they went on to have me. Crap like car accidents happen and people handle all sorts of circumstances poorly. If that's the issue, take some breaths and move on. Sounds like more is going on though, as others have mentioned.

Pretty sure the PP meant that SUVs AREN'T the safest but I'm also pretty sure that you know that and are just being crazy for the sake of being crazy on an anon messageboard. If you were like this in real life someone would have had you committed by now.
