Hamas digging tunnels near kindergartens, children waking up with nightmares resulting from hearing the sounds of tunneling, rockets being indiscriminately fired, the cycle of suicide bombers, the dehumanization that results from endless and vicious antisemitism in the Middle East, Europe, and elsewhere ... for sure, no one is blameless here, but for crying out loud, just let there be peace between these people at some point.

You want to talk about what's aggressive, how about this? children who are 5 years old, arrested? children beaten & tortured? palestinian children when arrested are kept in cages outside overnight during snow storms. Or how about food being thrown or their heads while dogs are unleashed to eat the food? If this wasn't true, it would actually look like a very sick joke....

Well dice you asked, they were the aggressor in Suez. They launched a surprise attack to kick off the six day war. In 2006 they invaded Lebanon over two captured soldiers, which is hardly a solid justification for an invasion or if it is then Israel should stop doing the same. And this conflict got started when a triple homicide turned into a crackdown on Palestine, and now we find out it was two people not acting under any Hamas orders.
In 56, Israel was the aggressor (With British and French support). In '67 Israel was blockaded, which is an act of war. Nassir also threatened Israel, basically wanting to while Israel off the planet. Israel could not afford to stay mobilized, and attacked Egypt and Syria....and Jordan after Israel was attacked. Israel won on all fronts.
later, Israel voluntarily withdrew from Gaza...
