The first page, before the map, talks about grandfathering, but I don't see anything on a right to continue in a feeder stream.
I'm guessing it's still a "right."
The paragraph addressing feeder rights is pretty straightforward. Children in Grades 6, 7 & 8 will have the option to feed to the current HS, as will their sibs.
No, this is different (I think). That sentence pertains to a child who was IB for, say, Wilson but is no longer IB for Wilson. I'm asking about the child who was never IB for Wilson but gained admittance to, say, Hardy, or Hearst. Could they continue on to Wilson?
Am I missing something?
And the sib preference extends only so long as a sib is in that school. (That's a sensible limitation.)
I'm the PP. Yeah, I think I'm missing something. I now think you're right: OOB feeder rights are discontinued. This is another positive achievement!

How will she have the face to present this?

Yes, removed from Wilson and removed from Deal.
The way this info is rolling out is really terrible. So folks like Jeff learn that they are removed from Deal and Wilson but you don't yet have the documents for your NEW proposed IB school?

They're really leaning on that "if possible" with the new Wilson boundary.
Can't say I'm surprised to see SE/SW cut out but I am pissed. Mostly at Tommy Wells, who (unlike Bowser or Graham, say what you will about them) did absolutely nothing to try and keep folks in Wilson. He is totally in the pocket of folks on Capitol Hill who want to see Eastern improved and don't care that there were kids in Ward 6 who actually had a shot at attending a good high school. Wells said at a community meeting that he'd never met any constituents who'd bought in SW because it was inbounds for Wilson. He is a moron.
SE/SW should have never been in Wilson's boundary in the first place.
Now, Eastern has all of the ingredients to be a great school; facility, academic program, student population, etc. Are the adults finally going to start working together?
