Agree that the timing on the pregnancy test seemed way off.
And I really like Sara and Hank but I'm not feeling it second time around.
Also never felt a strong connection between Kristina and Hattie (she and Adam are better together).
I was surprised the season ended without Joel at the table. If he wasn't there after that episode, then that actor's contract status must be unknown or a departure.

Pp I was totally thinking the same!! It doesn't add up. Also was anyone else expecting Joel to walk into the dinner at the very last scene?

I think the show has a blind spot for almost every character. For Adam/Christina, we are just supposed to believe that they earned all they have through hard work rather than question how unrealistic it is that they would have the money to support all their yuppy do-gooder dreams on one salary no less!

For Julia/Joel, we are supposed to buy into the non-existant conflict and believe that it is all a bigger deal than just "Julia is whiny and unsupportive and Joel is disconnected and uncommunicative.

For Lauren Graham's character, I think the unrealistic thing is her dating life. We keep watching all of these men fall for her and she is supposed to be completely out of Hank's league , but if you look at it, she is a 40-something single mom with no education and no career background and no money. Sure, she is cute and charming, but most men that age are going to either want someone young and hot and not mind that she doesn't have her shit together or they will want a grown woman and will expect her to act like it. In real life, she absolutely WOULD end up with a guy like Hank who is a little awkward but is kind and present and has a career and a work ethic, not some hot doctor/philanthropist/millionaire. In real life, you end up as a doctor/philanthropist/millionaire because you have drive and you either look for a partner who is equally driven or a partner who is a trophy. Sarah is neither.

I have not seen the most recent episode but in last week's Christina engaged Julia to review/update the charter... Julia took over the process and went in and kicked butt at the hearing and the city accepted the charter.

I think they're bringing Haddie back with an interesting storyline because people have been complaining on the Internet about her not being mentioned a lot.

Odd to me that they bring Hattie back for the finale? Seems like they have their hands full with storylines already. Curious to see how it ends and what cliff hangers that have in store. Can't imagine the hot teacher/Julia thing just goes away, but happy to see hot Joel again.
