O.k. - it sounds as though you weren't ready for a committed relationship when you were in your teens/early 20's. I can relate to that and I don't think that is really all that unusual. Sometimes it's fun to just stick with being single and going out with the girls for a while. It's also fun to meet new guys and see what develops, understandable. It's this continuous, ongoing sexathon in which every one of these ONSs is doing something new, exciting that seems a bit questionable....

You will also end up with an STD, in all likelihood, whether you are male or female!

Your risk of most STDs, except HPV, is pretty low if you are sleeping with people who are college educated and if you use condoms. STDs are caused by viruses and bacteria, not the number of miles you put on your vagina.

Exposure to HPV is pretty much universal, regardless of number of partners, unless you and your partner are virgins.

Male here, 12 women, the last being DW. I kept a list.

I started late: my number was zero through college, although not for lack of interest or even opportunity, just terminal nerdness. After that I figured things out and rapidly caught up for lost time. I didn't exactly cut a wide swath but several of my relationships were very, very gratifying. I don't regret any of them, although in retrospect some were poor choices on my part. And in a couple of cases I do regret not having had the good sense to continue the relationship at the time. But when all is said and done, I learned something from each of them, so to that degree they were all worthwhile.
