LOL! My colleague moved to "Arlintucky" as we affectionately call it. She couldn't get to work today b/c her Mercedes convertible doesn't do well in the snow and the buses are running on a snow schedule. She wants to move back to DC.


A ringing endorsement for the kind people of DC.


God- she sounds like a complete pussy. Drive in from Clarendon and made it in record time for rush hour (10 min) since nobody was on the roads.

I think she just didn't want to come up work.

Clarendon and Wilson are down to blacktop...as is Lee hwy.

And Washington Blvd. And rt 50. and 66. and fairfax drive. I could go on.

People in this area and snow. Sheesh.

To be fair, the houses passing as middle class in North Arlington are almost the same size and quality as the trailers of Kentucky.


As opposed to the uniformly sprawling, updated housing in the District? That might win for dumbest comment on this thread, and that is really saying something.

What often happens on DCUM is that people will make claims without checking the facts, and then keep arguing about it. Easy to do on an anonymous forum without losing too much face.
