If they are so smart and hardworking, why do they need to come to a foreign country to benefit from that country's educational system and use that country's resources? Why don't they just stay at home, study hard and go to school there? Wouldn't the home country benefit and their people benefit immensely from these types of educated people?

Have you heard of colonialization? Study your history. This concept is infectious.

I guess the point would be that the Asian child with the tutor takes his/her own tests, while the white child whose parents write their essays, hire marketers, blah blah blah.... didn't lift a finger.

Thing that I find odd... Maybe the Asians should seek less competitive schools for their children. There'd be less pressure to succeed, less competition, and their bright children could easily shine without much extra effort. (Speaking as an Asian person who grew up in a poor area and graduated as salutatorian, not by plan of course.)

In China, the Chinese put whites on a pedestal, worshipped because they're all assumed to be wealthy. The Africans are all looked down upon as suspected drug dealers. It's annoying all around.

For many families in China, no matter how hard a child studies or how smart they are, they don't have opportunities to advance. It takes money to be able to continue schooling, and many people don't have that. That's the beauty of the American dream. No matter where we come from in the US, we can still be anything we put our minds to. At least, that's the story we're sold.
