There are many layers of gay. Men exclusively with men, gay men who fantasize about women, polyamourous gays with both at the same time, and men who've had sex with women and perhaps may have an exclusive sexual relationship with a woman. Yes, and one of the reasons is the wish to maintain a semblance of normality and be accepted by society ........ which explains why there are married men who get involved in gay relationships while staying married. It also explains why they would not tell their wives especially if they know it would result in the end of the marriage and being exposed with regard to their secret lives.

So, make sure you put that out there. The threads on this make clear that many men are doing this and even more are not telling their wives. Many also seem to think that there is nothing wrong with the behavior. They consider themselves straight. The definition of straight is exclusive sexual activity with the opposite sex, but this definition seems to escape them. Not sure why. So, they don't feel like it is an issue and are "shocked" that people would expect them to tell their wives. That being the case, single ladies, make sure you glean from your date whether or not he's had sex with another male if that would be a problem for you. You cannot assume that his dating you and even him telling you that he's straight means that he has not had sexual contact with another male. You just need to flat out ask, hey have you ever had sex with another male. Don't even bother asking him if he's straight. Word meanings don't phase these guys. I like all different types of men- manly guys, softer big teddy bear types, etc... I just do not want anyone who has ever had a same sex experience. I'd be okay with a male who also could not date me for whatever reasons. There is someone for everyone is the good news.

What's funny and stupid is how retarded you are. Men can share my taste in men. No biggie. I don't want to married to someone who has a taste for men. Period. You get over it! The past didn't matter said my parents (my mom was married before may parents got together and she has always felt shameful about it, but my dad never really cared). My sister wouldn't budge - like the rest of you, she swore she wouldn't waste her time with some closeted fag.

Fast forward two month from the big gay breakup. My sister gets in an altercation with one of her close friends at bar in Arlington because said friend was escorted to the bar by the "closeted gay" exboyfriend. Turns out that his gayness of his one college semester hadn't reemerged from hiding and he pursued yet another female. My sister for some reason really thought he was gay because of that one semester. He's not gay. He's now married to that friend with child #2 expected any day now.

a lot of you are dumb like my sister.


I broke up with and did not accept the invite to marry an ex BF who had affairs with men. He married and I heard still has had homosexual relationships. Maybe the wife doesn't care. PP's sister did care and now is available to meet hetero as I did. Everyone is different and some prefer hetero only. That doesn't make her stupid. She has every right to choose her partners. The sisters ex also had the option of meeting a woman or man who didn't care about past homosexual relationships.


+1. We're talking about people's rights to chose their partners. If you're okay with someone who's had same sex partners, go for it. Some people are not. I would also not be okay with someone who has had excessive partners in the past or was a serial cheater or was a drug addict or did other deviant things. Some people don't care. Get with those people all day every day. But leave me alone!

This thread alone is a testimony that many gay men get married to women. They just hide the behavior and from these thread some actually believe they are straight. This is why there is the label of "men sleeping with men" or MSM. These men are homosexual, but don't want the stigma of the lifestyle. They also have some attraction for women. This population of men is largely responsible for the spike in HIV in married woman. These leeches are actually everyone's problem because they create an environment of shame and secrecy for their gay lovers all the while leading a double life that deceives their female partners. Newsflash MSMers- your contact with males is homosexual so you are not straight. The question is why it so important to maintain the straight label. At least have the dignity to share your identity with your spouse.

Just because you're a secret gay and you want to normalize yourself so you feel better about the stain you've put on your own life does not mean every man has likely had a gay experience. Just own up to your own identity and life. Problem solved! Trying to escape the appropriate label for your same sex romping (i.e. gay and/or homosexual and/or bisexual) just makes it clear you're not only an idiot, but a pathetic one at that.
