Not the PP, but in the same situation, and although I realize your response was well-intentioned, it really is THE most aggravating question you can ask someone who wants more kids than they can have. Yes, we have all heard of and have considered adoption. We were not unaware of the concept of adoption before you brought it to our attention. I know you didn't mean it that way, but the question really comes across as condescending.


To be fair, your original post didn't say that you regretted not being able to have another bio child. You just talked about how you want to parent another and how your son will be all alone in the world.

Never finishing college. I dropped out to move back home to be close to my long distance boyfriend, he later cheated on my and we broke up.

Now I have to work as a nanny because I have no other skills.

Good for you! Some of us, though, do not want to adopt just like 99.9% of couples who conceive more easily.

This question never bothered me because I think adoption is wonderful and I am excited for this new chapter. Just my 2 cents.

Right there with you. I never got an email warning me about the switch. Hundreds of pictures gone, but they mainly document life post-kids.

Not living up to my potential. I picked some bad employment situations and perhaps am not the most political skilled person ever to enter corporate America. I am recognized for intellectual brainpower but never climbed the ladder like I had hoped. So I went out on my own and am now consulting. Sometimes I think it is more stable than corporate life.
