People who think what happened on Glee is more important than anything else.

People who act stunned that someone would find a political debate entertaining.

People who make a huge deal out of me not drinking alcohol every time I go out.

People who think not watching t.v. is "amazing and strange."

hmmm..I sound about as fun as a fart in spacesuit, maybe I need to try to make more friends! lol!

Yeah, sanity and logic are important qualities to me too. Can we be friends?

People who have an issue with the fact that I don’t drink -- due to religious beliefs. I’m not particularly conservative, am totally fine with everyone around me drinking, will go to bars, buy someone a drink to celebrate something etc. and yet people apparently still have a problem.

People who can't have a conversation without stopping 50 times to check their blackberry. I get that biglaw associates’ lives are like that at times but when it’s every single time we ever go out and I know for a fact that you’re not that busy, it gets old.

Those who find a way to discuss their kids in every conversation. I love kids but in an adult setting, if someone at the office that you barely know is talking about work to be done, I think it’s inappropriate to stop them and say “wait -- first I have to tell you Johnny scored 3 goals at soccer, he’s the most amazing athlete, I have NO idea where he gets it” and then appear unhappy when the recipient of this info says “that’s great” without any interest and moves back to the conversation.

Those who find a backhanded way to criticize everything -- i.e. “I had a great time on vacation. Answer -- well yeah, but you had to go with your parents/siblings/whoever -- you need to develop your personal life.” Uh -- ok -- thanks.

People who complain constantly, say they want your opinion and then when you give your opinion, they get mad if that's not what they wanted to hear or just ignore you and keep complaning about the same issues over and over bc they just want someone to listen to their venting.

Have we had a "Why do I have such a hard time making friends" thread lately?

People who talk about and treat dogs like children. I love dogs but some people go toooooo far. Or every picture on their fb page is their dog but none of them.
I have a neighbor who won't go out for more than an hr bc of her dog.....and carries the dog to the grass to pee bc she does not want her paws hurt. I cannot be close with her.

are:

-racist
-chronic liars
-can't have fun without drinking
-curse all the time
-won't control their children

I mean CAN'T be friends with...

Well we don't really argue... Just that if he or I say something misinformed the other will say,"actually sweetie, we have a down alternative pillows". Or "well that bill only got passed because the republicans just pretended to count..." etc
