We just got a bfn after stim IVF and we are planning to do a natural cycle FET. If it's true that my body was too ramped up on hormones to allow implantation then are our chances better with FET? Of course I grasping to any hope since we are so devastated that our cycle failed.

Interesting so one's uterus may be less receptive after taking medications to produce multiple eggs?

I am 8/2 10:09...This is absolutely true. Even my RE admits this might have been the case with me. 2 IVFs, transfer all...ziltch...3rd IVF...so hyperstimmed we opted to do FET...voila...six transferred, three implanted, 2 stuck and are tearing around my house...

RE thinks my estrogen levels were prohibitively high on the first two IVFs...

No. Optional. Though you will most likely have only one egg so it better fertilize!

Yes. You will likely produce less eggs w/ NCIVF.

The pros are:
*Low responders may only produce 1 or 2 eggs even while stimulated.
*You are getting the "lead" or "dominant" egg that was produced naturally.
*Less costly w/out medicine. Why pay thousands to perhaps get the same number of eggs (or maybe an extra one) than you would
naturally?

I just found this site and not sure how nat cycle IVF differs from regular IVf. Aren't the chances really low if you don't take the fertility drugs?

I had my twins at 42...thank goodness MY RE continued to work with me (we started together when I was 38).

I don't know what life holds for me and my husband OR our children...but I do know what it is like now...

I have never been happier. I feel as though my children are happy and secure.

People outside our family LOVE our children, and nurture our children, and tell us how wonderful they are.

There has to be something about this that we are doing 'right', right?

Who cares how old we were when it finally, happily, gratefully happened for us...at 37 (I was a geriatric bride), when we first started trying...we would have never believed that it would have taken so long.

Isn't it more about what we are, as parents, what we are, as a family, what we are, as far as participants in our community and world???

I hope, no matter how much time I am put on this earth...my INPUT in my children's lives has life long impact on them.

No one, in our lives, has ever commented on my age...or my husband's age. At least not to our face.

I don't think a person's age makes any difference as to what kind of human beings they can put on the earth.

I think, if there are going to be some militaristic controls on who can or can not procreate in this world...age might be one of the bottom categories that should be explored...

Surprisingly, they are in a pretty good shape with one of the lowest debts as a percent of GDP in Europe (and much lower than USA). Regardless, the point is I didn't see what the issue was with being retired when kids enter college. I am not very likely to be in that category with my own children, but I still don't understand why would that be so bad?
