This is in response to players wanting to stay in VA. YJ DMV practices in MD.

I truly hope YJ DMV continues to be a competitive option in the DC area.

YJ VA is essentially their B team as DMV is their top team at that age group. If you think you have a shot at Capital, not sure you would consider YJ VA

I recall seeing a lot of similar statements in the 2029 thread last year but Capital still assembled two solid teams.

I would personally like to see some competition but it seems like the same thing will happen again and the remaining teams will be a shell of what the once were and some may go away all together.

Im surprised at how little has been said about where those girls are headed and how much a good team just got much better.

Im surprised at how little has been said about where those girls are headed and how much a good team just got much better.

Complete fantasy, they were looking to get practices at Liberty Sports in Bowie since it’s all turf, but will only be there a few times, nothing to do with max exodus, you think clubs can change leases based on what a few parents want? lol


It sounds like the key group of kids leaving wasn’t about practice locations. They were leaving either way. It’s a shame you can’t keep that talented group together with how good they’ve been.

Was there a big hubbub over MDU practice locations? Word was they tried to move them to somewhere far. Then, when a max exodus seemed looming, they course corrected? Now they are sending FAQs out with their new Anne Arundel County practice locations.

Even if my kid could have made M&D, I definitely wouldn't have wanted to drive to St. Paul's (or wherever) for practice. By the end of 8th grade, I had enough of Maryland "up-and-backs" for NGLL. But I probably would have if my kid was as good as the Visi sisters or I lived in Montgomery County.


So many M&D teams are practicing at Howard County locations. This spring, we’ve seem teams of all ages practicing weekly at Howard County High Schools and parks. Also at Garrison Forest of course, farther north.
