So while you were in high school you attended a private event at a club for older adults 25+ for the purpose of finding an older man for a relationship, you got pregnant by the 40 year old you met within months and then you got married while pregnant, and now that relationship involves him wanting to spend his vacation with his first family? Did I get that right? You don’t say you never had a job but also don’t say you do, but in any case I can see why he doesn’t really value you or your child given the origins of the relationship

I honestly don’t get the outrage here. If he were 70, sure, but he was only 40, which seemed too young to me even back then—come on. I was 18 when I got pregnant, but I wasn’t super young, and we were already talking about a long-term marriage. We just went with the flow, and when we found out I was pregnant, of course we were excited. Age was never a big deal for us. I loved my husband for who he was, not because of anything superficial. I did, I liked older men (40s, 50s and some 60s), I’m certain I’m not the only one. I consider 40 quite young; but that was an okay minimum age then.
