This was in line with what I was thinking. They have very good players on the field, and a number of very good players twiddling their thumbs on the bench. Wonder if it's a matter of getting right people in the right roles. They do seem to lack a leader and their top 3 players on offense all just want to put head down and dodge to goal. Understand in Glen Elg game, draw was a big problem too. Will be interesting to see if things start to click.

I agree. SPSG has had great classes of offensive talent. While I hated hearing the songs after goals, they were fun to watch play. Ball movement was crisp and fluid. I watched the game yesterday and they tried to run their go to weave at the top and the transitions were slow or fumbled.

But look who they lost in the last two years and what they are doing in college at the top programs. The girls they have now, while good, just aren’t on the same level as the last two classes. They may be committed to BC, Florida, and Clemson but the two that will make an impact are the two senior defenders, in my opinion.

They have some good players. They don’t have any elite players like they have in the past few years. Past teams have had multiple offensive threats. There isn’t one explosive player this year. Not being strong in goal hurts too.

SM controlled most of the game, NDP dominated draws and kept them in it.

Gcs beating Spsg was very surprising.

I can’t argue with the result. It is what it is, MV lost one of their top kids early, RO’D was on fire, lots of penalties on MV.

SPSG got rolled by bottom 2 team last year, lots of things up in air

Mcdonogh game will be telling, they have a few “stars” that should give MV problems, will it be enough to make it a game?

Some stars? They have the best high school goalie in the country. The best defender in the class and a top 10 attacker.

Those are the stars I was referencing.

MV also has prob the top 2026 player and 2028 player and are top to bottom stacked.
