Yes for next year's teams. 26-27. The U13/U14 teams run full year for girls. HS Soccer is in the Spring in VA but many teams still train throughout the spring for showcases and playoffs. So, yeah, you may not be joining a team for 6 months.Anonymous wrote:This is for 26-27? Do you all play a spring ECNL or is it HS? Crazy that you could get an invite and not play with the team for 6+ months.

I call bullshit. Arlington is known for moving quickly so it doesn’t lose top talent. Not so much for VDA.
You have no idea what's going on with VDA and Arlington.

Not soon enough. Parents are concerned that trying out for other teams could negatively affect their child’s status on the current team.
Coaches aren’t calling each other. Why would a coach call and say your player is here at tryouts. They actually don’t want the current club to know. As soon as the current club knows they start pressuring the kid to stay.
In general coaches find out from parents/players.
So, for those whose son/daughter have switched to a different club, did you let the coach know before you attend ID sessions and received an offer, that you will be leaving the club or did you wait to let the coach know at the end of the spring season (obviously you have an offer by then)?
I would sit tight lipped and if they reach just say we have not decided yet. Let them revoke the offer.
If you kid is exceptional, do not worry about the 24-48 BS. Just decide on your time.
Dis either club?Anonymous wrote:Did Arlington announce coaches?
