So? That doesn't make it reasonable. There are parts of the country where days like this are typical in the winter. If the roads are fine, there's no reason to close. And the roads should be fine. There's salt after all.

I think it’s more becuase many schools didn’t get plowed out. Custodians work on sidewalks but not plowing. Our elementary was plowed but the custodians only had front sidewalk done.
That would explain it. I don't understand why they wouldn't get plowed but maybe resources are that limited.

I walked to the top of my street and a car was stuck and then another car drove up to try to tie a row rope around the grille to pull it out . Now imagine that’s a bus.
