The streets around the Cathedral are not ready for the cara for three cathedral schools plus public and Sidwell. At least not as of right now. Also, many families can’t get out of their own neighborhoods! Not all of us live in the Palisades.

My DH drove into work this morning. He commutes from Olney to Bethesda. He says residential roads are largely untouched while main roads are clear, but very narrow, with the right lanes filled with plowed snow in many cases. He said there are no sidewalks available to walkers, either on main or back roads. Anyone walking to school will be out on the icy road. He did drive past an elementary school and a middle school. Parking lots at both schools have not been plowed yet. Count on another day at home, virtual or not.

I wonder if they were able to find parking at Brayden's house?

These privates can't win with parents. I am sure they are hearing from parents demanding in person school tomorrow while I am sure if they open others will whine about having to cut their ski trip short.

My kid's Baltimore Symphony Youth Orchestra only canceled today's rehearsal yesterday... when it was obvious for days that Sunday rehearsal was never going to happen. I don't know why some organizations feel the need to make last-minute announcements. Makes them look stupid.

You are so cool and your child so talented!!!

It’s sounds like the elites in the palisades can. The workers that’s another story. But listen the wealthy areas of NW DC are ready to go so we just need the poors to get with the program and get to work 😁

ha. we are full-pay poors EOTP, but love that you thought i lived in the palisades
